Remove the bow ties before laundering the napkins. For a small mark, blot gently with a barely damp white cloth after testing an inconspicuous area; avoid rubbing the velvet pile or soaking the bow. Let the ties air-dry completely. Keep direct iron heat off the velvet and store the bows loosely so their loops are not crushed.
Maker / Heritage
Flying Sheep Country grew from the Maitland sisters’ British roots and their lives in Westport, Connecticut, and Sydney. Their eye combines the freely growing patterns of Indian block prints with the more defined outlines of European-style embroidery. The block-printed linens are made with hand-carved wooden blocks by Indian artisans, leaving small variations that belong to the process. In the embroidered designs, shaped edges, dotted borders and fan-like scallops give each place its own frame. Even the name holds a private family reference: childhood drives through the Cotswolds, spotting sheep along the country roads.
