The Romance Is Dead Organic Cotton Ruffled Pillow Cover in Yellow by Sophie Williamson Design combines the collection’s hand-illustrated cherry-blossom floral with a generous ruffled border. Printed on heavy GOTS-certified organic cotton with nontoxic, low-impact dyes, the yellow colorway gives the romantic motif a warm, spirited quality, while the ruffle softens the square form and gives the pillow considerably more visual presence than its compact center suggests.

The printed body measures 14 inches square, surrounded by a 3-inch ruffle. It is a distinctly different proposition from the larger piped square version: smaller at its center, more decorative in silhouette, and particularly useful when you want a cushion to contribute both pattern and shape. The cover is sold without an insert, allowing you to choose the degree of fullness you prefer.

Care & Ownership

Machine wash at approximately 30°C or on a warm setting. Line dry away from direct sunlight whenever possible; if machine drying is necessary, use a delicate low setting. Iron from the reverse while the cotton is slightly damp, or mist lightly before pressing. Attend to stains promptly with water and a small amount of dish soap before washing. Avoid bleach and dry cleaning.

Because the insert is sold separately, you may reuse an existing insert or select the fullness that best suits the cushion.
