The hand-hammered copper body stands on an integrated stainless steel support that also provides a place for the domed lid to rest during serving. The contrast between worked copper and the cleaner lines of stainless steel makes the apparatus suitable for both a formal buffet and a practical gathering.
In either the four- or six-quart size, the chafer has a generous profile for presenting a prepared dish at a buffet. Its lid support keeps the serving area orderly, allowing the warm copper surface to look as considered during service as it does when the table is first set.
