The Ruffle Edge Abaca Coasters in Indigo by Joanna Buchanan make a small functional layer feel like part of the table rather than an afterthought. Handwoven in the Philippines from 100% abaca, each 4-inch round combines indigo and ecru with a ruffled edge that softens the geometry of a glass or drinks tray. The set of four is particularly easy with blue-and-white china, clear glass, wicker, and natural linen, but the deep indigo also gives an otherwise neutral setting enough color to feel deliberate. Because the fibre is handwoven, subtle variation is part of the character rather than something to be corrected.
