Wash in cold water with like colors to protect the softness and color of the cotton. Tumble dry on low and remove promptly, allowing the gauze to settle back into its naturally relaxed texture. A cold iron may be used when a neater finish is wanted, although these shams are at their best when the fabric retains some of its soft dimension. Avoid bleach and dry cleaning.
