It is designed for treated municipal water and other water sources of generally good initial quality, with a ceramic-shell and carbon-core filter system that does not require electricity or a plumbing connection. The hourglass form contains an upper filtration chamber and a lower reservoir fitted with a stainless steel dispensing spigot.

Care & Ownership
- Replace the filter elements at their rated capacity or after one year, whichever comes first, in accordance with Sertodo's current guidance.
- Clean the copper chambers gently and dry accessible metal surfaces; maintain the ceramic elements in accordance with the current EverFlow filter guidance.
- Use water appropriate to the specific system and tested local water quality. The presence of filters alone does not establish that microbiologically unsafe or untreated source water is potable.
- Do not overfill the upper chamber beyond the lower reservoir's available capacity.
