A closely woven jute surface and loose end fringe give Senneterre its quiet, natural character. Handwoven in India, the rug brings light-brown color through the fiber itself, with darker and paler strands giving the plain field its interest. Four-inch fringe softens the short ends without adding a printed pattern.

Care & Ownership
Vacuum gently on the lowest suction setting without a beater bar, keeping the nozzle away from the fringe. Lift loose debris rather than pulling at the woven strands. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry white cloth; do not rub or saturate the jute. For a local mark, use only a cleaner specifically suitable for jute, following its directions and testing a hidden area first. For persistent stains or a thorough clean, use a professional experienced with natural-fiber rugs. Avoid conventional dry cleaning with strong chemicals, which can damage or fade the fibers. Do not machine wash, steam-clean or soak.
Keep the rug in a dry indoor setting and let any damp patch dry completely. Rotate periodically to distribute wear and light exposure, and use a rug pad appropriate for the floor beneath. Keep tassels free of vacuum brushes and moving chair legs.
Maker / Heritage
Hauteloom’s roots are in Gaziantep, one of Anatolia’s great carpet-making centers. Founder Moe Ibrisim brought his knowledge of that trade to the United States in 2002. With his brother Nihad, an experienced rug professional in Turkey, he went on to open rug shops in Georgia before establishing Hauteloom in 2017. The background gives the brand a particular meeting of perspectives: Turkish rug knowledge, a close understanding of American rooms, and an interest in both the familiar language of pattern and the texture of natural fibers.
For Senneterre, that interest takes the form of handweaving in India. The yarns themselves provide the detail: changes in fiber tone and the texture of the weave give a plain rug its own rhythm.
