Sienna Mango Wood Pedestal Bowl by Mela Artisans
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
The Sienna pedestal bowl brings the warmth of natural mango wood to a simple, elevated form. Its broad circular dish sits on a substantial foot, allowing the lively timber grain to take the place of ornament. A pleasing sense of balance gives it both usefulness and sculptural character.
On a kitchen island it is an attractive place for fruit; on a dining sideboard it offers an easy way to display seasonal branches, gathered objects or a low arrangement of produce. Its generous twelve-inch span creates presence without the height of a tall centerpiece, so conversation can still flow across a table.
"I often find the most useful centerpiece is an uncomplicated bowl raised just slightly above the surface. Sienna has a beautiful sense of proportion, and the grain of the wood contributes all the interest it needs."

Maker / Heritage
Mela Artisans was founded by Navroze S. Mehta and Sonali Mehta Rao to connect traditional Indian craft communities with contemporary homes. Its work with more than 3,500 artisans reflects a sustained interest in preserving hand skills while bringing their results into everyday domestic life.
Within its carved-wood collections, the pleasure lies in the evidence of handwork: considered silhouettes, carefully finished surfaces and the natural variation of timber. Their usefulness is as important as their sculptural presence.
