Song Bird Pewter Place Card Holder by Vagabond House
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
A sculpted pewter chickadee holds a place card in this small Song Bird design. Feather and bird details give each setting a point of interest without taking much room, and the holder can identify a dish as readily as a guest.
“Place cards are a kindness when guests do not all know one another. I favor clear handwriting and a welcoming detail such as this bird over an elaborate seating display.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
