Care & Ownership
Handwash only with mild detergent and a soft sponge, then rinse and dry promptly. Avoid soaking the handles, abrasive cleaners and contact with hot cookware. Do not put in an oven or microwave. Store with space around the serving ends so they do not scratch one another.
Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
