Tuli Mango Wood Pillar Candleholders in Medium Polish by Mela Artisans — Set of 3, 9–15 in

Sale price$40.00

The taller Tuli candleholders are turned in solid mango wood, their slender shafts and broad bases finished in a warm medium polish that allows the grain to remain visible. The three graduated heights create an architectural rhythm rather than three identical repetitions.

Arrange the trio together along a console or at one end of a long dining table, where the variation in height can add definition to an otherwise simple composition. This particular Tuli set is the taller 9-, 12- and 15-inch grouping, distinct from the smaller Medium Polish trio also offered by Mela Artisans.

"When a group of candlesticks has good proportions, very little else is required. I especially admire the rising line of this taller Tuli trio; it gives a mantel or table the composed quality of a small collection."

-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage

Mela Artisans was founded by Navroze S. Mehta and Sonali Mehta Rao to connect traditional Indian craft communities with contemporary homes. Its work with more than 3,500 artisans reflects a sustained interest in preserving hand skills while bringing their results into everyday domestic life.

Within its carved-wood collections, the pleasure lies in the evidence of handwork: considered silhouettes, carefully finished surfaces and the natural variation of timber. Their usefulness is as important as their sculptural presence.
