Vida Bamboo Gold-Tone Stainless Steel Flatware with Natural Handles by Beatriz Ball - 5-Piece Place Setting
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Real bamboo handles meet gold-tone 18-8 stainless steel in this five-piece Vida place setting. A dinner fork, salad fork, soup spoon, dinner knife and teaspoon supply the pieces for one guest. The warm contrast can join bamboo-pattern melamine or give plain white dinnerware a natural decorative detail.
“I like the warmth of real bamboo beside a plain plate. The gold-tone steel can provide the brighter note, leaving a simple napkin and clear glass to keep the rest of the setting comfortably restrained.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
Vida’s real-bamboo-handled utensils are made exclusively for Beatriz Ball. Their appeal is practical as well as decorative: familiar serving tools gain the warm, natural character of bamboo.
