Vida Bloom White Melamine Serving Bowl by Beatriz Ball - Small Deep

Sale price$46.00
Available to Ship Icon Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days

The small deep Vida Bloom bowl has a petal-like rim above a compact, rounded body. White melamine gives Gretchen Murchison and Beatriz Ball's floral-inspired design a practical place at everyday meals. Its deeper 4.5-inch profile is useful for a smaller shared serving, with the sculpted outline adding interest beside simpler dishes.

“Depth is useful in a small bowl when the serving should remain contained. I like this Bloom form for something spooned rather than spread, with enough room around the rim to serve neatly.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Wash on the top rack of the dishwasher, or by hand with mild detergent and a soft sponge. Presoak dried food in warm water so it lifts without hard scrubbing; avoid abrasive pads and cleaners. Do not use in an oven or microwave. Dry before stacking, and place pieces gently together to protect the modeled rims.

Maker / Heritage

Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.

Bloom grew from Ball’s collaboration with Louisiana ceramicist Gretchen Murchison. Its rippling, petal-like outlines bring the movement of a ceramic form to practical serving pieces.
