Vida Sasha White Melamine Round Serving Bowl with Handles by Beatriz Ball - Large

Sasha combines a rounded white serving bowl with sculptural side handles in practical melamine. The generous 15.5-by-12.25-inch form can hold a salad, pasta or another shared dish, with a five-inch height that gives the serving useful depth. It is designed for meals indoors and out, where the handles are part of both its shape and its convenience.

“I appreciate handles that make a serving bowl easier to move as well as more interesting to look at. I would keep them free of garnish and set the bowl down before offering the serving utensils.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Wash on the top rack of the dishwasher, or by hand with mild detergent and a soft sponge. Presoak dried food in warm water so it lifts without hard scrubbing; avoid abrasive pads and cleaners. Do not use in an oven or microwave. Dry before stacking, and place pieces gently together to protect the modeled rims.

Maker / Heritage

Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.

The Vida collection carries that attention to serving shapes into melamine, with sculptural rims and generous forms made for relaxed meals indoors and out.
