Vintage Vienna Polished Metal Pedestal Serving Bowl by Beatriz Ball - Small
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
The small Vienna pedestal combines fluted sides and pearl-like detail in a raised aluminum-alloy form. Its eight-inch width gives fruit, sweets or small savory servings a distinct place above the table. The silver-colored finish reflects the arrangement around it, making the bowl useful as a decorative accent between occasions as well as a serving piece.
“A small raised bowl gives one serving a little prominence, which is all the decoration I sometimes want. The useful part is keeping it within easy reach, so the lovely form supports the meal rather than obstructs it.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Handwash with gentle detergent and a soft sponge, then towel-dry immediately to prevent water spots. Do not leave in standing water or use for prolonged food storage. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads and cutting directly on the surface. No routine silver polishing is needed; store clean and dry.
Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
