Wassail Soy Candle by Farmhouse Pottery - 8 oz
Evergreen, pine, clove and a smoky note give Wassail its winter-gathering fragrance. Hand-poured in Vermont, the soy candle sits in a deep red jar with an illustrated carton, bringing a warm seasonal accent to a side table, entryway or room prepared for company.
“Where guests arrive is where I would place Wassail, leaving the dining table to the fragrance of the meal.”

Care & Ownership
Trim the wick to about 1/4 in. before each lighting and keep the wax free of debris. Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts and flammable objects, children and pets. Never leave unattended or move the jar while lit or hot. Limit each burn to four hours, stop with about 1/2 in. of wax remaining and let the glass cool completely before handling. Follow the candle’s label for any shorter limits.
Maker / Heritage
Founded in Woodstock, Vermont, in 2012, Farmhouse Pottery brings a working potter’s eye to everyday housewares. Founder James Zilian’s training in ceramics and years designing for Simon Pearce inform the restrained shapes; English studio pottery and the Japanese idea of wabi-sabi inform an affection for visible process and small variations. The signature Silo forms take their lines from Vermont’s farm silos, pairing white glaze with revealed clay. From that starting point, the collection extends into complementary tools and textiles, chosen to make a useful, tactile whole at home.
In the Vermont candle workshop, American-farmed soy wax is blended with custom essential and fine fragrance oils, poured by hand, left to set and finished with a handwritten fragrance label. The original Fir scent was inspired by the forest behind the pottery workshop.
