Care & Ownership
Unzip and remove the insert before washing the cover. The maker specifies machine washing and air drying; use cold water, a gentle cycle and mild detergent, then reshape and air dry fully away from direct heat. Avoid bleach and vigorous scrubbing. For the insert, gently spot clean as needed, dry thoroughly and fluff by hand; keep it out of the cover wash.

Winterborne Decor works from a Nashville studio, where its lampshades are made by hand in small batches. Its pattern collection combines original in-house designs with textiles by artists including Danika Herrick and Whitney English. The studio also works with customers’ own fabrics for custom shades, a useful glimpse of the attention it gives to matching pattern, scale and silhouette.
