Yellow Gingham Cotton Tablecloth with Ruffle by Galley & Fen
Yellow and white gingham makes a bright foundation for a meal, with a gathered ruffle giving the cotton tablecloth a softer outline. The pre-shrunk, stain-resistant fabric comes in round and rectangular sizes, bringing the same clear check to a small breakfast table or a longer gathering.
“Yellow can bring the warmth for me even when the flowers are simple. White china and a little greenery let the gingham remain cheerful without asking every part of the table to be equally bright.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Machine wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Choose a gentle cycle for embroidered or ruffled pieces and avoid bleach. Air-dry or tumble dry gently on low, then smooth the fabric and ruffles before folding. Press from the reverse if needed, protecting raised embroidery with a clean towel. Store clean and fully dry.
Maker / Heritage
Galley & Fen begins with the eye of an interior designer: founder Laurel Newton studied interior design and created the collection around the everyday objects she wanted in a home. The team develops its own designs, drawing on the useful forms of European vintage kitchens rather than simply reproducing an ornamental look. Its work with a family of artisans in India brings handmaking into those designs, with small variations that remain visible in the finished pieces. Gathered textile edges, embroidered botanical details and warm copper or brass give practical objects a presence of their own. The pleasure is in choosing something useful whose smallest details have also been considered.
