Artichoke Stoneware Serving Tray by Vagabond House - 26 in.

A broad oval of hand-glazed white stoneware gives this Artichoke tray a generous serving surface. Sculpted pewter vegetables form the handles, their layered leaves and branching stems bringing the kitchen garden to a platter suited to vegetables, salads and shared dishes.

“At 26 inches, this is a tray I would give a permanent serving position. The table needs room for the food and for hands reaching past those sculpted handles.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage

Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
