Beja White and Blue Stoneware Serving Bowl by COSTA NOVA
The Beja serving bowl by COSTA NOVA combines a narrow hand-painted colored rim around a plain white center in White and Blue. Made in Portugal from fine stoneware, the open bowl gives a shared salad or side dish space to spread, making it easy to serve around the table.
“I would echo the narrow colored rim in one small detail elsewhere on the table, keeping the rest of the setting relaxed.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Dishwasher, microwave, oven and freezer safe. For oven use, do not exceed 480°F. Avoid sudden temperature changes: never move a hot piece directly onto a cold or wet surface, or a frozen piece directly into a hot oven. Do not use over a direct flame. Wash with mild dish soap and a soft sponge; avoid abrasive pads. Hand washing is preferable for large or delicate pieces. Let each piece cool before washing and dry thoroughly before stacking, with care around the rims.
Maker / Heritage
COSTA NOVA belongs to the Portuguese Grestel group, whose ceramics production began in Vagos in 1998. Its fine stoneware brings together natural clay and minerals, contemporary production and the work of people who shape, decorate and finish the pieces by hand. The collections use those processes differently: Beja takes its cue from traditional enameled tableware, Alentejo from the landscape and decorative character of its namesake region, and Vila from Portuguese floral decoration. The same design house extends its table setting to materials such as linen and oak, with the construction and care specified separately for each item.
