Machine wash gently in cold water with mild detergent and air-dry completely. Use only when dry, and keep away from direct flame and hot burner surfaces. Do not leave beneath a hot pan for extended periods. Check the padding and seams regularly and replace if worn or damaged.
Maker / Heritage
Galley & Fen begins with the eye of an interior designer: founder Laurel Newton studied interior design and created the collection around the everyday objects she wanted in a home. The team develops its own designs, drawing on the useful forms of European vintage kitchens rather than simply reproducing an ornamental look. Its work with a family of artisans in India brings handmaking into those designs, with small variations that remain visible in the finished pieces. Gathered textile edges, embroidered botanical details and warm copper or brass give practical objects a presence of their own. The pleasure is in choosing something useful whose smallest details have also been considered.
