Chinese Zodiac Snake Porcelain Round Box in Purple and Gold by Vista Alegre
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Purple gives this Chinese Zodiac porcelain box a vivid ground for its gold snake motif. Botanical details follow the round lid, creating an ornamental object with a strong sense of color.
“I like purple best in a deliberate small accent; this covered box gives the color a defined and useful scale.”

Maker / Heritage
Founded in Ílhavo, Portugal, in 1824, Vista Alegre brings a living decorative tradition to the table. Its porcelain is glazed, fired and individually checked before decoration; the factory also maintains a specialist hand-painting workshop for selected artistic pieces. Collaborations with designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Sam Baron give that long history fresh expression, from finely drawn botanicals to architectural relief. It is this combination of technical care and imaginative decoration that gives the maker its distinctive range.
