Classic White Embroidered Tablecloth by Flying Sheep Country
The Classic White tablecloth keeps the main surface plain, with tonal embroidery adding detail at the edge. Its cotton-and-polyester blend offers a quieter foundation for patterned china, flowers or colored napkins, with rectangular and round choices.
“A white cloth earns its place in my linen cupboard by making other pieces easier to use. The restrained edge here leaves room for china with a strong pattern, rather than asking the cloth to compete.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Dry cleaning is recommended for this embroidered cotton-and-polyester tablecloth. Blot a fresh spill with a clean white cloth rather than rubbing it into the weave, and point out any marks to the cleaner. Shake out crumbs gently after use. Store clean and fully dry, folded loosely so the embroidered edge is not pressed into a hard crease.
Maker / Heritage
Flying Sheep Country grew from the Maitland sisters’ British roots and their lives in Westport, Connecticut, and Sydney. Their eye combines the freely growing patterns of Indian block prints with the more defined outlines of European-style embroidery. The block-printed linens are made with hand-carved wooden blocks by Indian artisans, leaving small variations that belong to the process. In the embroidered designs, shaped edges, dotted borders and fan-like scallops give each place its own frame. Even the name holds a private family reference: childhood drives through the Cotswolds, spotting sheep along the country roads.
