Encanto Vienna Cream and White Enameled Grissini Pedestal Dish by Beatriz Ball - Medium
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
An elongated oval bowl and raised base give the Vienna Grissini pedestal a natural place for breadsticks, small appetizers or sweets. Cream and white enamel, fluting and a gold-tone rim give the compact serving form its decorative character. At nine inches long, it introduces height without requiring the wide footprint of a round centerpiece.
“An oval serving dish is useful to me when the space between other pieces is narrow. Breadsticks arranged loosely along Vienna's shape are easy to take, with the fluted bowl still visible beneath them.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
Encanto adds color to the cast-metal tradition: enamel and gold-tone details emphasize the curves and edges, making the form as much a part of the table as the food it holds.
