Equestrian Horse Bit Pewter and Stainless Steel Bottle Opener by Vagabond House

Sale price$50.00
Available to Ship Icon Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days

A horse-bit handle distinguishes this pewter and stainless steel bottle opener. The equestrian form sits above the working metal end, giving a practical drinks tool a recognizable detail and a defined place on the bar tray.

“An opener is most useful when everyone knows where it lives. I would give this one a regular place on the drinks tray instead of a changing drawer.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Hand wash with mild dish soap, warm water and a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse and dry immediately, reaching gently into sculpted details. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh cleaners and silver polish; the maker's solid pewter does not need routine tarnish polishing. Keep out of the dishwasher, oven and microwave, and away from direct cooking heat. Wipe the opening edge clean after use and dry it before putting away.

Maker / Heritage

Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
