Grape Glass and Pewter Wine Decanter by Vagabond House - 60 fl. oz.

Sale price$220.00
Available to Ship Icon Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days

Pewter grapes and leaves encircle the lower neck of this large glass wine decanter. The broad body and flared opening give the 60-fluid-ounce vessel a clear serving form, with the vineyard motif worked into the metal decoration.

“This larger decanter would have a place on my sideboard when the dining table is full. A broad vessel is best planned for before the final serving dish arrives.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Hand wash gently with mild dish soap and warm water, supporting the glass and pewter parts together. Rinse and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth; avoid twisting joined parts against each other. Keep pieces apart in the sink and protect rims from knocks. Avoid abrasives, the dishwasher, oven, microwave and sudden temperature changes. Let the interior dry fully before storing. Use a soft bottle brush where needed, rinse thoroughly and leave the opening or stopper uncovered until the interior is dry.

Maker / Heritage

Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
