The Large Heritage bowl puts a deep brown glazed rim and interior above a contrasting ivory stoneware body. A shaped pouring edge and broad opening make the bowl useful for kitchen preparation, while its textured exterior gives the simple form a distinctive presence on a shelf.

Care & Ownership
Hand wash with mild soap and a soft sponge, rinse and dry thoroughly, including the unglazed exterior. Avoid abrasive scouring, soaking and sudden temperature changes. Put a soft separator between nested bowls to protect their rims.
Maker / Heritage
Galley & Fen begins with the eye of an interior designer: founder Laurel Newton studied interior design and created the collection around the everyday objects she wanted in a home. The team develops its own designs, drawing on the useful forms of European vintage kitchens rather than simply reproducing an ornamental look. Its work with a family of artisans in India brings handmaking into those designs, with small variations that remain visible in the finished pieces. Gathered textile edges, embroidered botanical details and warm copper or brass give practical objects a presence of their own. The pleasure is in choosing something useful whose smallest details have also been considered.
