The Small Heritage bowl combines an ivory-colored stoneware body with a dark brown glazed rim and interior. Its shaped pouring edge is useful for whisked eggs or a dressing, while the handmade form gives a modest working bowl enough character to leave in view between uses.

Dishwasher and microwave safe. Load with space around the rim to prevent knocks, or hand wash with mild soap and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive scouring and sudden temperature changes. Dry fully before storing; use a soft separator if nesting with another bowl.
Maker / Heritage
Galley & Fen begins with the eye of an interior designer: founder Laurel Newton studied interior design and created the collection around the everyday objects she wanted in a home. The team develops its own designs, drawing on the useful forms of European vintage kitchens rather than simply reproducing an ornamental look. Its work with a family of artisans in India brings handmaking into those designs, with small variations that remain visible in the finished pieces. Gathered textile edges, embroidered botanical details and warm copper or brass give practical objects a presence of their own. The pleasure is in choosing something useful whose smallest details have also been considered.
