Laurel Wreath Petite Trouvé Trinket Box by Susan Gordon Pottery
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
The Petite Trouvé box places a hand-painted laurel wreath on a small lidded form. A brass knob and 22K gold-luster detail give the glazed stoneware a considered finish, well scaled for a ring or other small personal belongings.
“For a bedside ring box, this Petite size appeals to me. A small place with a clear purpose makes the last few minutes of the evening a little more orderly.”

Care & Ownership
Gently hand wash with mild soap and a soft microfiber cloth, then rinse and dry carefully. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and scrubbing the 22K gold-luster decoration. Gold-luster pieces are not dishwasher or microwave safe. Protect from sudden temperature changes and knocks, and store with a soft separator where decorated surfaces might touch. Lift the box from its base rather than the lid, and keep the brass knob dry. Store only clean, dry contents.
Maker / Heritage
Susan Gordon began her pottery business in a basement studio in 2013, bringing a background in ceramic sculpture and abstract painting to practical household objects. Her experience with paint still informs the gestures and surfaces of the work. In 2019 she opened a storefront and studio in Homewood, Alabama, where making and showing the pieces could sit together. The pottery passes through making, smoothing, glazing, gold decoration, sanding and a final check, with more than five pairs of hands and eyes involved. The hydrangeas outside her first garage studio became a recurring source of imagery, connecting the flowers of everyday life to the work of her hands.
