Medici In Vino Veritas Individual Glass Wine Carafe by Vagabond House
An inscribed pewter band wraps this individual glass wine carafe. The words In Vino Veritas mean “In wine, there is truth,” adding a small literary note to a clear vessel with an eight-fluid-ounce capacity.
“An individual carafe can make a modest pour feel thoughtfully served. I like wine within reach while each guest fills a glass only as much as they wish.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Hand wash gently with mild dish soap and warm water, supporting the glass and pewter parts together. Rinse and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth; avoid twisting joined parts against each other. Keep pieces apart in the sink and protect rims from knocks. Avoid abrasives, the dishwasher, oven, microwave and sudden temperature changes. Let the interior dry fully before storing. Use a soft bottle brush where needed, rinse thoroughly and leave the opening or stopper uncovered until the interior is dry.
Maker / Heritage
Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
