Périgord Pressed Glass Water Goblets by La Rochère - Set of 6

Périgord's vertical facets rise from a short stem into a broad water goblet. Pressed in France, the clear glass gives a modest water serving a more deliberate form, with enough pattern to sit comfortably beside plain plates or a larger dinner service.

“A water goblet can make an ordinary supper feel properly set, to my mind. I would keep a carafe within reach so a modest glass does not mean a hurried refill.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Microwave use is limited to brief reheating, up to 90 seconds; do not use boiling liquids or take glass directly between hot and cold conditions. Store with rims protected from knocks.

Maker / Heritage

La Rochère has worked glass in the Haute-Saône region of France since 1475. In its pressed-glass collections, a two-part mold forms the relief patterns and leaves the fine seam that is part of their recognizable character. The pieces cool gradually in an annealing oven before being inspected by hand for clarity, balance and consistency. That combination of a long-established glassworks and a practical approach to manufacture gives its tableware a particular appeal: decoration formed into the object itself, designed to take part in daily meals rather than remain behind a cabinet door.
