Pheasant Pewter Statuettes by Vagabond House - Set of 2
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Detailed plumage distinguishes this pair of hand-finished pewter pheasant statuettes. The sculpted birds bring the collection's natural forms beyond the serving pieces, creating a decorative pair for a tabletop, mantel or sideboard.
“A pair need not stand in perfect symmetry. I would turn these birds slightly toward one another, making the space between them part of the arrangement.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
