Vintage Calabaza Polished Metal Serving Bowl with Handles by Beatriz Ball - Medium
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Calabaza takes its rounded, lobed outline from the shape of a pumpkin, translating it into reflective aluminum alloy. Traditional side handles give the medium bowl a practical detail as well as a decorative one. Its 10.5-by-nine-inch footprint suits salad, fruit or a shared side dish without the scale of a large centerpiece.
“The pumpkin reference is subtle enough for me to enjoy beyond autumn. A simple serving of fruit lets Calabaza's rounded shape show, while the handles make the bowl feel purposeful rather than merely ornamental.”

Care & Ownership
Handwash with gentle detergent and a soft sponge, then towel-dry immediately to prevent water spots. Do not leave in standing water or use for prolonged food storage. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads and cutting directly on the surface. No routine silver polishing is needed; store clean and dry.
Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
