Vintage Vienna Polished Metal Grissini Pedestal Dish by Beatriz Ball - Medium
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Vienna's elongated pedestal dish gives breadsticks, small appetizers or sweets a raised serving place. Fluted aluminum alloy is hand finished to a reflective silver-colored surface, with a nine-inch length that fits among other dishes without a broad round footprint. The form is decorative enough to remain useful as a small centerpiece between meals.
“A narrow row of something delicious is more inviting to me than a tall, crowded pile. Vienna's oval bowl and raised base have a graceful outline that is easiest to appreciate when the serving remains simple.”

Care & Ownership
Handwash with gentle detergent and a soft sponge, then towel-dry immediately to prevent water spots. Do not leave in standing water or use for prolonged food storage. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads and cutting directly on the surface. No routine silver polishing is needed; store clean and dry. Do not use in an oven or microwave.
Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
