Vintage Vienna Polished Metal Vase by Beatriz Ball - Large
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
A fluted body and raised base give the large Vintage Vienna vase its distinctive vertical rhythm. Hand-finished aluminum alloy reflects the room around a floral arrangement, with a 9.5-inch height that gives stems a substantial setting. The vase can also be used for chilling a bottle, allowing the same sculptural form a practical role at a gathering.
“The shape of a vase should help the flowers settle naturally. I would begin with a few stems here, giving Vienna's fluting and reflective surface a place in the arrangement rather than hiding the vessel.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
