Wheat Harvest Acacia Baguette Board and Bread Knife by Vagabond House

Sale price$98.00
Available to Ship Icon Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days

A long acacia wood board is paired with a stainless steel bread knife finished with a pewter wheat-stalk handle. Cutting guides distinguish the Wheat Harvest board, giving a baguette a dedicated place to be sliced and served.

“A whole loaf is a pleasure to bring out, but the board needs working room. I would place this long piece where the knife can move safely before passing the bread.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Hand wash with mild soap and a soft sponge, then dry immediately, including around pewter fittings. Do not soak or put in the dishwasher, oven or microwave. Occasionally apply a thin coat of food-grade mineral oil to clean, dry wood and buff away the excess. Let both faces dry with air around them before storing, and keep blades clear of decorative metalwork. Wash and dry the knife or cheese-tool heads carefully, handling sharp edges separately from the board or other tools. Store blades with suitable protection.

Maker / Heritage

Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
