Woodland Leaves Cotton Napkins by Flying Sheep Country - Set of 4

Woodland Leaves napkins combine a hand-block printed botanical field with decorative geometric borders on pure cotton. The four 20-inch squares bring warm, quiet leaf tones to a place setting, with a distinct border treatment for this printing.

“A geometric border beside loose leaves is a pleasing combination to my eye. Show both in the fold, particularly when the plate has a botanical pattern of its own.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Blot spills promptly and spot clean marks without rubbing the printed surface. Hand wash or use a cold, gentle machine cycle with a mild, non-enzyme detergent. Tumble dry on low; remove promptly and smooth out the folds. Iron on the reverse using the cotton setting. Some softening of color is natural with hand-printed cloth. Store clean and fully dry, folded loosely away from direct sunlight.

Maker / Heritage

Flying Sheep Country grew from the Maitland sisters’ British roots and their lives in Westport, Connecticut, and Sydney. Their eye combines the freely growing patterns of Indian block prints with the more defined outlines of European-style embroidery. The block-printed linens are made with hand-carved wooden blocks by Indian artisans, leaving small variations that belong to the process. In the embroidered designs, shaped edges, dotted borders and fan-like scallops give each place its own frame. Even the name holds a private family reference: childhood drives through the Cotswolds, spotting sheep along the country roads.
